Sometimes you may not have to ring the gong for the boss fight, and instead will have to clear out another area of zombies. When you have to return to the safehouse, take the shortest route possible from your position. Team up on the maniac and loot his body when he's dead, then roam the mall until the timer runs out once again. Most of the time, this will be Santa Claws. When this happens, a boss maniac will appear. On the next section, you may need to proceed to the waypoint and ring a gong with all players present.
If you set your lobby to public before you enter the level, players can join up with you online when they select Quick Play from the menu. You can begin playing through an episode of multiplayer whether you are with teammates or alone.
You will need to complete these mission objectives and survive until the given time or return to the safehouse to complete the episode. Objectives are given at random, though sometimes there will be specific ones that repeat often in a given episode. The weapons and vehicles are similar to the single player campaign, but your abilities and starting weapons are different.Įach episode is its own contained set of mission objectives that must be completed to progress to the next episode.
There is no co-op multiplayer campaign, but there are four multiplayer episodes that you can play with others online.
